Professional Life
I grew up around computers, but thought the only career with them was writing code. That didn't appeal to me so I went on to get a Bachelors degree that I dont use.
After an internship at a very, very small company using 3d printers for rapid production, I met some people that pointed me in the direction of IT work.
Eventually I got my A+ certification and that helped me get a job at an MSP in Dallas where I loved the work!
Within 6 months of being hired at Caltech I got my Security+ certification and decided I wanted to join the "Projects" team because someone on it told me that I would learn the most there.
The projects team was probably the best group of people I have ever worked with! I loved the work, I loved the culture, and I would have loved to continue working with the same great team for a long time.
While working there, they announced that a larger MSP was purchasing Caltech and we began working under the company Integris.
While it was under the name Integris I got my CCNA certification and began taking on more complicated projects in networking, cloud, and system administration.
As the company culture began to change slowly, and the people I worked with started to leave I also began to look for another job.
I started working at MSI Express in 2025 and while there I got my CySa+ certification.
Personal Life
I like to spend time outside walking, biking, and paragliding. And if I am inside I like to work on my homelab or start yet another hobby.
